FNE International

Clinical Volunteer on Medical Mission Trip, Cusco Peru, 08/01/19 – 08/15/19

  • Set up mobile pop-up clinics with various clinical stations to serve small rural towns in communities outside of Pisac, Cusco.
  • Triaged upwards of 100 patients per day and obtaining the chief complaint and vitals, while assessing the degree of urgency.
  • Worked alongside Peruvian and American medical professionals (doctors, physician assistant, and optometrist) as well as local translators to obtain a history and physical examination.
  • Provided a treatment plan and patient education based on medical complaints and assessment.
